Art Economy Right Now
Invest And Save BIG!
A look at the big Art Picture, but it's no different for investment out look for small art investments, and Limited Edition Prints are essential in that art market structure. You Can make hugh Savings by buying limited edition prints, prices are very reasonable because the hugh gallery commission are cut out so the artist can sell their own work and a great price and still make a living. Also as you are well aware the world economy is upside down which is not surprising given the growth patterns around the world, when you see bog land going for millions its time from some chin scratching.. Art is and always has been a great investment area, long term on the whole but still a very safe bet. But out of reach for most, so buying limited edition prints is a great direction to go in. its value rises as those the original work, and most times at a higher percentage due to its affordability. Prints buy Matisee or Dali are extremely reasonable and also the works themselves differ very little from the original.
Look at the Main Art Market over the Last Few Years.
words Below The Introduction Are By Dr Clare McAndrew
Dr Clare McAndrew received from Trinity College, a Ph.D., the Ph.D, was in Economics and she recived it in 2001. Her Thsies was untiltled “International Trade and the Market for Works of Art”. She went on to become the chief economist at a major art firm in the States called Kusin, this company is a specialist in art investment. She has also worked as a consultant for the Policy Studies Instituteon in Britian, her area was in art projects, Also of course the Arts Council of Ireland, the Arts Council of England, and Hibernian Consulting. Most recent of course she has become Editor of a Magazine called Wealth magazine, She is one of Irelands (and the worlds) leading experts in art investing .
The global market for works of art comprised an estimated €45 billion worth of sales in 2005, the bulk of which took place in the art centers of New York and London. With prices for some artists soaring to record levels and reports of spectacular profits, speculation in the art market is on the rise. Savvy investors are increasingly realizing that far beyond aesthetic appeal, investment in this unique and specialized asset class can be used to effectively diversify risk, provide a hedge against stocks and other assets, and potentially generate significant returns in the medium to long term.
The Art Economy, looks at the development of the global market for works of art and focuses on the value of art as a financial investment, explaining the features of the market and breaking down some of the myths about the art economy. There has been a renewed shift in writing about art for investors within art and finance magazines, often by respected economists and market research groups. However, despite this interest, there is no one book that marries the world of finance and art into an understandable guide that appeals to both aspiring art collectors and investors as well as providing an invaluable resource for those already in the art trade. The Art Economy will fill that void and provide a title that has both international and long-term appeal. The book will guide current and potential art collectors and investors towards new and existing art markets, with the help of a number of well-respected experts in the spheres of art and finance and the latest economic research"

Ok So that was then this is now.. 2009, and the arts market for major works has dropped and works by Francis Bacon for example recently went un-sold whic is a sure sign that the market has turned bearish at the very least. Well not so for Limited edition Prints and rare Poster wich demand for is still high.
Along with being a really beautiful peice of art its also gaining in value.
